What is the IP address? 255.0.0.0 would only be valid for a class A network
(i.e. 10.x.x.x). Assuming you are using a valid class A network IP, I don't
know why you wouldn't just input a different subnet mask that it will take
and edit the ifcfg-eth0 file and restart services anyway which is outside of
the setup script.

What version ISO are you installing from?
