Are talking about in the gateway? As soon as you enter the first digit the AA processes and is looking for which option. It seems that there would have to be an interdigit time setting in the AA.

It is work the way you described it, however when it has a match of two different names it immediately interpets the second digit as a directive. For instance if the second digit of the name you are dialing is 2 than the AA sends you to the 2nd option without telling you where you are going.
