Wifi came to life somehow, and now I can't get internal extension
dialing to work at all. You can call it from a polycom, and it can call
out. I'm going to smash it shortly and I won't have to worry about it.

We bought a few Cisco WIP310 wifi phones. They worked perfect in

just a FYI, not broadcasting the SSID doesn't really do that much good.
any client that tries to connect to the hidden SSID broadcasts it in
the clear, and if an AP responds, any sniffer worth its salt can then
watch the 'hidden' SSID.
It isn't just for security. We have 3 or more SSIDs on these WAPs, and
I believe you can only broadcast one. The one we broadcast is our
guest internet for patients.
no, we don't broadcast our SSID, hoping that the skiddies in the
lobby don't know this.
but, it doesn't help all that much.
like mac address filtering.. defeated by mac address spoofing.
cisco phones can't do WAP2?.. won't connect to non broadcasting
SID? bad on them!
They do in our testing. We are still trying to figure out what is
going on. I think they are really linksys phones.
