another way to do this is to use phantom gateways and branches... branches secure gateways within a dial plan entry.
so, make a 12xx branch, a 15xx branch and a 17xx branch make unmanaged gateways for each branch pointing to the mediant 1000's ip address. (gw12xx, gw15xx, gw17xx). On the unmanaged gateways set the caller-id you want to force outbound. Put all your 12xx users in the 12xx branch, etc. Put only the phantom gateways in the outbound dial plan entries. Thus you'll avoid forcing caller-id on a per user or group basis and do it by what gateway is used!
