If you're manually configuring the audiocodes gateways you can add a source
number manipulation under Protocol Configuration >> Manipulation Tables >>
Source Number IP -> Tel
For your scenario, try the following settings:
Dest Prefix

Source Prefix

Stripped from left

Stripped from right

Prefix to add

Suffix to add

Number of digits to leave

Source IP address

NPI

TON

12xx

Subject: Re: [sipx-users] Caller ID based on caller's extension with multiple
gateways

another way to do this is to use phantom gateways and branches...

branches secure gateways within a dial plan entry.

so, make a 12xx branch, a 15xx branch and a 17xx branch

make unmanaged gateways for each branch pointing to the mediant 1000's ip
address. (gw12xx, gw15xx, gw17xx).

On the unmanaged gateways set the caller-id you want to force outbound.

Put all your 12xx users in the 12xx branch, etc.

Put only the phantom gateways in the outbound dial plan entries.

Thus you'll avoid forcing caller-id on a per user or group basis and do it by
what gateway is used!

My setup is as follows: Sipx 4.4, 3 user group with different
extension ranges (12xx, 15xx, 17xx), remote site with extension range
11xx connected via VPN and site-to-site gateway/dial plan, outside
calls handled by Audiocodes Mediant 1000 PRI.
What I am trying to achieve is:
- when calling remote site to have outgoing caller id as extension
number (this is anyway default setting).
- when calling outside through Mediant to have different caller ids
for every extension group - for example if call is placed from 12xx
extension to have caller id 5149087777<tel:5149087777>, when calling outside
from 15xx
extension to have caller id 5148455201<tel:5148455201>, etc.
Obviously cannot achieve this via user groups because calls to remote
site will show 514NNNNNNN caller id on remote site.
Can Mediant be programmed to change called id perhaps?

Thanks in advance,
Dragan
