I have an autoattendant that allows access to a variety of service like
conferences, voicemail, etc. This autoattendant accessible as "0" from
inside, or by DID from outside (DID is assigned as an alias to the
Autoattendant dial plan). My problem is with getting to voicemail.
The autoattendant has digit "1" assigned to trigger the action "Voicemail
Login". If I call this autoattendant from inside by dialing zero, I can enter
1 and it will take me to voicemail properly.
If I do the same thing by calling from outside using the DID, when I press 1 I
get dead air for 10 seconds, then it hangs up with a fast-busy. If I look in
the IVR log, I see
doAction Voicemail Access. Transfer to sip:888@(my domain)
Which looks correct (my voicemail extension is 888). Can anyone suggest why
this would not work from an outside call?
Alternatively, can you suggest a better way to give direct access to a variety
of voicemail mailboxes from a single central DID?
