I think this should be a "indexed" field, though I don't see it in the
postgres DB, so I would think to export, find it via searching, etc., other
changes would be needed. It makes more sense to me to add the caller-alias
filed to postrgres and allow it to show in a "to be created" user report
from the sipxconfig user interface. I'm not sure i would want it indexed the
same as a user though, it would have to be independent. If you set the main
TEL of the organization as the outbound on a lot of user lines, you don't
want the system to tell you you cant use it as an alias. You don't want the
index to interfere with aliases.

Short explanation: I think there is a lot of room for improvement to this.
