We aren't concerned about the old voicemail settings at this point.   How do
we setup the voicemail from scratch.  We need to setup a voicemail for each
phone and the 4 individual companies also need to have a general mailbox.
How do we setup the voicemail for the phones and any general mailboxes?

 

 

 

 

It is almost assured that doing a non-linear upgrade will cause issues
especially with voicemail and email forwarding. For you I recommend doing a
fresh 4.0.5 install, restore your configuration and voicemail, then perform
a 4.2.1 upgrade, test everything and make sure it's running, then perform
the 4.4 upgrade, then test everything and make sure it's running. No other
way is supported.

We didn't do an upgrade.  We did  a fresh install to a virtual machine and
restored the config.   I see that Josh Patten upgraded from
4.0.5>4.2.1>4.4.0 but I have a lot of reponses on other issues and may have
missed an email upgrading to 4.2.1 1st.  So doing a fresh install of 4.4.0
as we did and restoring the configs can also cause issues?  If so what are
the issues.  Will it cause the issues described here?

 

 

 

like you were advised, not to do a straight upgrade. you should have gone to
4.2.1 then4.4.0.
