This is what we do for this during setup.

In sipXconfig , choose the phone, then User Preferences, and check the
following:
analogHeadsetOption(Default: unchecked) If checked, an attached
DHSG-compatible headset will be used as an electronic hookswitch.
headsetMode(Default: unchecked)

After making these changes, push the profile to the phone. After it reboots,
got to the phone MENU button, then press "3, 1, 1, 3, 2". Select "JABRA
MODE".

The Polycom has a "serial" port on the bottom of it. This port allows the
EHS to connect to the bottom of the phone, and the other end goes into the
base charging unit of the headset (AUX port). Another cable goes from the
headset port on the bottom of the phone to the telephone (not handset)
outlet on the base station.

With the slide switch in the "A" position on the base station, the DHGS
option has to be selected on the LCD display of the base station.
