There is a great feature in Voice Operator Panel that handles this, I've got
customers using it today. Example - one receptionist for three companies.
In the directory you put numbers 555-1111, 555-2222, 555-3333. You create a
directory in Voice Operator panel, placing those three DID numbers in it,
and put the name of the company next to it. When a call comes in for
555-1111, the display will show the number calling from, the number calling
to, and the name of the company associated with it.

You can put hundreds of numbers into that directory. It's an excellent
application for an office receptionist.

BTW, with that same application, you can use the CallerID name and number to
do a database lookup to pull records into a screen pop. There is a build in
lite browser, that is very fast at popping the search results.

He needs to which of the two numbers the outside caller dialed in order to
say the right thing when answering the phone. Its the number that was
dialed, not dialed from.

Sipx does not have a way to distinguish that. It does distinguish DID
numbers, hence you use different lines on the phones to separate "sales" and
"service", etc.

If this is a receptionist, the VOP has the ability to build a directory of
DID numbers, and the person who owns them. When the call comes in, it
displays the callerID, number dialed, and the directory lookup for the
greeting.

We have 2 main numbers that need to be answered by a user with a different
greeting

Is there a way to let the user know what number the caller dialed before
they answer the call
