I think this might work for you - Forward the call to an auto attendant that
plays the message, and then have it timeout with no response to where you
want the call forwarded. Under Auto Attendant Options, change the number of
replays to 0, and shorten the DTMF timeout to a shorter period, then record
a custom greeting.

There may be other ways, but this one seems like it could work. I think it
says "please hold while we transfer your call" already.

Subject: [sipx-users] Call Forwarding Announcement/Greeting

I have a client who has an absolute requirement to have a message played
prior to the call being forwarded if the user is away.

Scenario:

1. Call comes in, user is away.
2. 20 seconds later (or however long) the system plays a message "Your call
is being forwarded..." or whatever.
3. The call is then forwarded to an external number.

I don't immediately see a way to do this in 4.2 and my 4.4 test environment
is down for a few days.

Is this do-able/customizable in any way?
