I hope this framework for saving voicemail in formats other than .wav is:

1 - configurable, for example I have the option to (dis)allow mp3;

2 - extended to enable other formats, e.g. ogg - specifically any
which are not patent-encumbered and can be used in F/OSS software
without having to pull in packages which violate licenses.
