Do you have a sipx-trace for us to look at? Grab a trace of a call to a
single polycom and then to a hunt group.

If the polycom cant answer it typically means it doesnt like something
in the invite.

We should be able to compare the invites and see if valcom or sipx is
dropping some needed info.

I still have not overcome this issue guys.

Valcom have confirmed that they are able to do this internally on their
test rig. In that they can call a hunt group from a Valcom VIP-172L and
answer successfully on their sipX system with Polycom phones.

I am bewildered am really stuck at where to go with this....

Did I mention that if I call the hunt group from a phone on the system I
can answer it from the Polycom’s in the hunt group OK....it just doesn’t
work with the Valcom....

I think he simply means to enact a b2bua function via sipxbridge to see
if the valcom is just not "that good of a sip client" (i.e. stateless
proxy or b2bua only). Keep us posted.

Well it maybe is verging on the excessive – but I’ll try and give it a
try just for *jokes* ! I mean can you imagine how much all the
deliveries and people entering the site would cost us in PSTN phone
calls just to answer and let them in through the doors!

This is a bit excessive...however…

What if you have it dial an outbound number – a number that actually
traverses the pstn – but comes back into your sipXecs server. Have that
phantom user ring to a group…

Thanks Tony, yes I was aware of the other brands, and was on the verge
of buying Cyberdata units, but in the end went with Valcom because I
read that they worked better with sipX.....which may or may not be
true......I am sure though that this is a pretty simply issue for them
to sort out...I just need to get hold of the right person in their
support department probably!

I mean it works perfectly if I want to the intercom to call one
user/phone....but I don’t I want it to call a number of people!
