Dear All - an update for you.

I thought it was up to date, on firmware 2.17 which is what their tech
support sent me. I'd already cross-ref'd their config with mine, and it
was the same, using IP for registration.

However I can now confirm that the latest (as far as I know) is 2.19
which was sent to me overnight from Valcom.

Guess what - IT WORKS!!! :D)

They must have some new code on the 2.19 firmware which addresses the
way hunt groups are handled - because as soon as I updated the
VIP-172L's with 2.19 they all started to work.

So thank you all so much for your comments, suggestions and help - it
turns out it wasn't a sipX issue at all, but we kinda knew that already
;-) !!

Thanks again,

Regards

Rob.

I'm guessing your firmware is up to date. I'd ask Valcom to send you
their config - check to see if they are using fqdn or ip vs SRV records
for registration.

I still have not overcome this issue guys.

Valcom have confirmed that they are able to do this internally on their
test rig. In that they can call a hunt group from a Valcom VIP-172L and
answer successfully on their sipX system with Polycom phones.

I am bewildered am really stuck at where to go with this....

Did I mention that if I call the hunt group from a phone on the system I
can answer it from the Polycom's in the hunt group OK....it just doesn't
work with the Valcom....
