You should be able to re-produce the same behaviour of local.cfg with the -append statement, check out the manpage for si_mkautoinstallcd.
I don't really want to append the hostname, IP address, netmask and broadcast address since I want to be able to boot a bunch of machines with the cd, and append these values when booting into the autoinstall cd.
There also appears to be a buffer size limitation when interactivly typing in all of the values from the /local.cfg after "kernel" at the boot prompt.
Perhaps there is a better way of handling this. Do you have any other suggestions?
