Hi Bernard, First of all, let me clarify that the hd is actually recognized as /dev/cciss/host0/target0/disc. Sorry for the -possible- misunderstandings.
I'll give you more details tomorrow (I'm not in front of the machine right now), but the hardware.lst error is related to a subdir that doesn't exist, so the file cannot be created. SI version is 3.6.3, as far as I remember. I'll double check it tomorrow as well.
