I think the kernel config option is:

CONFIG_BLK_CPQ_CISS_DA

so change that from "m" to "y".  The config file resides in
patches/linux.<arch>.config

Anyways, perhaps another solution is to use UseYourOwnKernel - I'd
search the mailing-list archives for instructions on how to use it...
