It's probably not a great idea to tell me what features I would like
or to respond to a reasonable post with repeated uses of sarcasm. I
write a lot and prefer not to give up a range of expressive features
in the notes boxes relative to most of the rest of the places where I
type text. One of the ways in which I hope to use Skim is in
reviewing manuscripts that are sent to me for possible publication
and I would like to communicate with the authors as fully and as
accurately as I can. I understand from Christiaan's post that he is
using an ordinary text field to hold the note text, which of course
is reasonable and which I did not know before. As I noted in my post,
anchored notes are apparently stored in a way that allows fuller
formatting, probably using Apple's latest and greatest text
processing API's. Also, as I noted in my original post, Pages.app
allows formatted text in its notes boxes) so I know we have the
technology.

The next time I have a few minutes to spend exploring Skim will be
towards finding if there is any opportunity for pasting graphics--I
would personally find it useful to paste PICT or PDF equations as
part of my review process or to overlay PICTs or PDFs of plots and
the like onto the main page images. But that's probably getting into
the realm of Create and its ilk.
