Just like Apple… - BTW: Cmd+Comma opens Preferences, and, normally
(standard behaviour), Cmd+Comma does close them.

No, you don't get it. "line well control"… Search for "line well" in
Skim Help. Got it? You are using terms not used in Skim or elsewhere.
Whom do you expect to understand you?

Ok; select an underlined note (the underlined word in the document or
the note in the list) and try to change the Underline Line Style or
the underline Line Width in the Lines Tool… See any changes? Nothing
happens.

True.

Well, I did. I for one don't use hammers to color nails.

…most; probably. Or not. I can change the lines in Prefs now.

But the way to get there isn't called intuitive, it's called
undocumented.

And still there are options in the Lines Tool which don't work at all:
The graphical buttons for

"Beveled line style",
"Inset line style",
"Underline line style".

What are they for? - We are intensely discussing the Lines Tool: Why
don't you just say anything about them without beeing asked for? Using
these buttons of Line Tool doesn't get anybody anywhere…, neither when
used via the Notes' Prefs, nor in the Lines Tool itself.

Changing the "Underline Line Style" does not change any underline,
"Beveled" and "Inset" do not change any selected notes frame or line,
etcetera…

As I said:

Charge a fee for Skim and provide decent documentation. But don't
release unfinished undocumented features forcing users to ask for help
to make you feel better.
