Hi Guys,

Well things will start great !

Do u hear that Patrick ? We are 3 now :)

Daniel, Talking about your concern regarding Pascal, I have learned it a long time ago and so could catch up quickly last summer, setting up a version of CDC on my delphi 6 (got from uni), looked for all the required libs, etc etc and I can say, that I can play with the code, but really can't compile it correctly nor debugging it in realtime.
But it's not the main issue.

Regarding the doco, I'm trying to
1- write inline code comments, suchs as explanatations about method/class signatures
2- come out with a pack of uml diagrams
but Patrick still has to bring his help a lot regarding
- functions of the methods, and their parameters
- relationships between units
- figure out the units that are less relevant for migration (old units for old catalogs, which can be migrated later on)
because the goal will be to migrate the core and the gui part first, then then "plugins" later on, if u see what i mean.

FYI, I've use a small pascal-> C# converter but *forget it*. Well, in fact it'll be easy as soon as we have uml diags.
The datatypes conversion is the risky part because it can induce big errors in math formulas (that's why i decided first to use the converter, and in fact, it gives good idea of how to map the datatypes from pascal to c#). I have to clean a bit the converted files, and send them to u so u can see how it looks.

The problem is that to be able to convert, you must understand BOTH languages... :(
But really pascal is not difficult, it's a language taugth at schools and unis, and u should catch it in few days, with our help if u need.

For the GUI part on java or C#, it's not a problem for me.
