Hello,

Still working with CdC and finding it to be a well
designed and very flexible program. Generating lines is
a feature I make use of all the time. As a beginning nova
hunter I've developed a simple Excel spreadsheet that
will generate the text file for creating the outlines for
any search area location using a minimal amount of 'ink'.
If anyone is interested I can post this to the files
section on the Yahoo! groups page. The outlines resemble
this (inside lines are the actual search area and the
outside corners are a user defined buffer zone). Use a
fixed width font to display properly:
_ _
_ _ _

_ _ _
_ _

Questions:

1. Is there a way to create a dashed or dotted line used
CatGen? I am using CatGen to create the binocular asterism
outlines and would like some options. I've looked at the
CatGen help page and searched this group but couldn't find
the answer.

2. Is there a way of displaying the magnitudes of stars
for a range of magnitudes? i.e. from 6.9 to 8.1? I'd like
the stars brighter than 6.9 and dimmer than 8.1 to remain
unlabeled.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
