Patrick,
I started mysqld with 'service mysqld start', and I added
the symlink to my /usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.so.10.0.0 file.
After some small problems, I was able to run the tables. Here are
some issues:
1) when starting CDC, I get the message 'MySQL database not
available', even when it is available.
2) When loading the SAC images, I get 'Invalid FITS file: README.TXT'
and CDC main window simply close, although the process is still alive.
CTRL-C in the console segfaults with 'Runtime error 0 at FEFFDD4C'.
Removing the README.TXT file seems to have solved this problem.
3) In another try, I got 10000 errors like '2005-01-24T10:55:52 DB
insert failed for ngc1824.fit :'. As expected, no images were loaded.
But closing and opening the configuration window seems to fix this.
4) In another try, even when I get "All is Ok!" checking the MySQL
database, I get that there is 0 images in the sac directory, no comet
and asteroid loaded...
5) The 'realistics image' nor 'symbols' for planets do not work.
'star' and 'line mode' do work. I think this worked in 3.0.0-6.
After all this 'fixes', I was able to see the sac images!!! :))
It is never too much: Patrick, thank you very much for all the
time you put in the outstanding work that is CDC. We all appreciate
this imensely.
