What a simple but elegant solution to an otherwise complicated 
situation. I applaud your inventive programming! 

I'm not sure how much longer it would have taken me to "see the light" 
but I was getting close, I have ds2000.cdc, ds2000a1.cdc, ds2000a,cdc, 
ds2000b1.cdc and ds2000b.cdc in my cartes folder. I just didn't catch 
on to using the default name.

I'll pass your answer on to the DeepSky Forum.
