Sorry for the second question right after the previous one.
I just downloaded and installed the Hipparcos and Tycho catalogs. Now when I
click on a star I no longer get the SOA number, name and other information,
only the Hip number and Tycho magnitudes. Is this by design or am I doing
something wrong? Shouldn't catalogs be additive and show all known
identifications of certain objects? Or does installing the Hip catalog
override the older one because the Hip is so much more accurate?
One of the reasons I care is that I can enter SOA numbers into my Autostar
goto pad but not Hip ones. So if I have trouble finding an object I use CdC
to find a nearby star and then use goto to get me there. Now I can't do that
anymore.
This is with 2.76.
