I just downloaded and installed the the Planetary High Precision 
update and I'm still getting a time discrepancy. It seems that the 
times from the calendar are most accurate, or at least most in 
agreement with other sources regarding sunrise/sunset.

Perhaps SkyCharts doesn't use the convention that sunset is when the 
disk of the sun fully disappears below the horizon. But it is a 
little frustrating to not have consistent information from two 
different sources within the same application.
