Can anyone provide assistance in figuring out why I can't connect to
my NexStar 8SE via CdC? Here are some details:
-Laptop running Vista; COM 8 used to connect to scope via built in
laptop bluetooth.
-NexStar 8SE connects to laptop via Aircable Serial 3 BT device.
NOTE: Laptop succesfully connects to the NexStar via non-ASCOM
drivers. I can control scope via Astroplanner & TheSky6 software.
-CdC v 2.76c: I have loaded ASCOM platform and the Celestron ASCOM
Plugin driver. I have configured the ASCOM/Celestron driver within
CdC and all seems to be in order. I've selected proper scope driver
from list and ensured program looks to COM 8 for scope. However, CdC
says there doesn't seem to be a Celestron connected when I click
'connect' button.
Can anyone suggest what I'm missing? Seems the problem must be
within CdC or ASCOM as the BT/COM 8 connection works with other
programs (that don't use ASCOM drivers).
