Chris,
  I'd be happy to be a beta tester.  I do have a serial-usb cable and
driver that seems to work with my Vista machine.  I was able to
control the scope with TheSky6 via the cable connection.  When I tried
it with CdC, the program connected and I could see the scope ra/dec. 
When I moved the scope with its hand controller, the program noted the
movement.  However, it would not perform any GoTos so it seems it is
receiving information from the scope but may not be able to talk to
it.  When I tried a GoTo, an error message said the action couldn't be
performed because the program was not tracking the scope.  This
occurred whether the "Track" button appeared black or red.  Hope this
helps.
