You know, I long hesitated to post those instructions for manually installing SkypeWatch. It's very much like walking across a bridge that has railings but a break in the railing at one point. Say nothing of the break, and hundreds will stream across with no fear or mishap. The first to fall will blame you for your silence though. Speak softly of it, and you will only start a rumor mill that expands into a cataclysmic breakdown of trust. Proclaim it loudly, as I did, and everyone will watch the offending hole in the railing with fear as they tiptoe across, but nobody will fall through without knowing of the danger ahead of time.
Of course, the best solution to the whole mess would be a trolley of some sort that just whisks everyone across before they have a chance to notice the hole in the railing. This, of course, would be like having a script installer that can doo all the dirty work. I still hope to get to that. <smile> On Wed, Mar 05, 2008 at 05:40:05PM -0500, Tom Kaufman wrote: Yeah..this is why I'm leery (if I do upgrade to the latest version of "Skype)..about putting in "Skypewatch"..make one mistake..and you're in a heap of trouble!
