It may have to do with it because default.jss was corrupted before I tried the OS re-install. When I tried it, the unattended self install requires you to press the F8 key repeatedly upon powering up the machine; but, Dell says it's the F2 key. Oh well. Anyhow, during all that is when I think I screwed up the bios unknowingly. As for system restore, that failed. As for Systam Access to go, that was no go because it saw JAWS and so couldn't do anything. It's very much like walking across a bridge that has railings but a break in the railing at one point. Say nothing of the break, and hundreds will stream across with no fear or mishap. The first to fall will blame you for your silence though. Speak softly of it, and you will only start a rumor mill that expands into a cataclysmic breakdown of trust. Proclaim it loudly, as I did, and everyone will watch the offending hole in the railing with fear as they tiptoe across, but nobody will fall through without knowing of the danger ahead of time. Of course, the best solution to the whole mess would be a trolley of some sort that just whisks everyone across before they have a chance to notice the hole in the railing.
