Hi Terry further to what Tara mentioned in an email, I would suggest that you hit the aps key when the person's name is highlighted in your list and arrow down to block contact. There is a block button but you can tab across and have a look at a checkbox giving you the option to remove from contacts as well. This should be checked by default, it is in mine and I use version 3.8 of the skype program. Just press spacebar on the block button and you've both blocked and removed the contact you want at the same time. I hope this is helpful.
