Hi Curtis and others! I believe that Skype may be one possible carrier for the calls you are getting. However, I have frequently (before Skype ever existed) received calls when my talking caller ID indicated all zeroes. It is common with many telemarketers. That said, I've noticed that inbound calls that come to me from Skype rarely show up that way these days. This leaves me less inclined to think the calls you are getting are coming via Skype.
Unfortunately, regardless of how they are getting to you, there's relatively little you can really do. Telemarketers can largely be kept at bay by registering with the do not call list in your country. Good luck. Here is the number I get on my caller I/D: zero zero zero, zero zero zero, zero zero zero zero. Bogus? It is obviously a Skype / out caller. The only people that have my home phone number are very close friends or acquaintances and would for no reason whatever, call, let alone use Skype to call my landline number. What can I do? I hope this isn't too off topic--recommendations rather than castigations would help more. :) Curtis Delzer curtis at calweb.com curtis at gondtc.com skype: callto:curtis1014 Thanks for posting to the skype english list.
