Hi Gordan and list! The only advantage that comes to my mind is having one cable to plug in compared to two which can get mixed up if you haven't marked one of them.

Now I wonder, as user who uses standard headset, what are the advantages of using USB headset instead of classic one plugged in sound card? I'm using two sound cards, one integrated and other in PCI slot so i don't have to plug in and out devices like microphone, headphones or headset. Most of blind people I know prefer to use standalone soundcards like Creative Labs or something like that and most of motherboards have integrated audio. Considering that, what could I get from USB headset except losing one USB port?
