Hello, Michele, I'm sending this also to the list, because it might be useful for someone else as well. The procedure for "labeling" controls (e.g. buttons) is the following: 1. When the focus is on the specific control, press Control+Insert+TAB. The "Create Control Prompt" dialog of JAWS will appear. 2. In the edit field, type the message that you want spoken when the focus lands on that control. 3. Press ENTER to go to the next page of this dialog. This also has an edit field which is for a text which will appear on a Braille display (if you have one). The text from the previous page of the dialog is automatically inserted here, but you can change it if you want. 3. Press ENTER again to go to the last page where you can type a tutor description for this control (this edit field is empty by default). 4. If you don't want a tutor description or have typed one, press ENTER again to save the settings and you are done. Please note however, that those so called "prompts" (which are actually "frames") rely and obey on some default rules which have to be "true" in order for those "prompts" to work properly. The default rules (if I'm not wrong) are "Window Class" and "Window Title". That means that the specified rules (Window Class and Window Title by default) have to match with the specified application in order for the prompts to work properly. In the case of "Skype Call Recorder" the window title changes with every new version, because the program version is written in it. And since "Skype Call Recorder" is .NET Framework based, the "Window Class" string changes with every new version (I guess it happens during program compilation), so that rule has to be deleted for all prompts for Skype Call Recorder from within the "Frame Viewer" of JAWS. And the rule about the window title has to be set to contain only "Skype Call Recorder" and not the program version as well (which happens by default).
Best wishes!
