The latest beta scripts improve this situation somewhat by making it possible to regain MSAA support in Skype without restarting Skype itself, but of course this only works for JAWS, not NVDA etc.
The latest beta scripts remain at http://www.dlee.org/skype/jfw-skr41b_beta4.exe Those are only for Skype 4.1 release, not any older Skype version.
