Hi!
Actually, you don't have to download a file at all when you find it on the
Internet.
When you press "enter", or "click, on the link to the audio file, choose
"open" from the dialogue that comes up, and the audio file will load and
start playing, using your default media player, Windows Media Player or
whatever you use.
The file you've opened becomes a temporary file, so it's not permanently
taking up space on your hard drive if it's something you know you won't want
to keep, and it'll disappear when you do a disk clean which gets rid of the
temporary files on your computer.
However, in the case of the Skype tutorials, it's quite probable that you'll
want to keep any files containing these tutorials for future reference, so
choose "save" in the dialogue in that case.
I've never found that the "open, save, cancel" dialogue in Internet Explorer
is a problem, so I don't find ways to avoid coming across it, but I hope a
solution can be found for anyone who really finds this particular dialogue
annoying.

Yeah I in my opinion have no problem just downloading the spicific
tutorial
file and playing it in WMP. Of course you can delete it later or save it
somewhere for future playback. Happy Skyping.

The setting must be in internet options. Although I don't see how the
files
would play if they hadn't been downloaded yet. For the time being you'll

There's an option in the media player you can set to have files when
opened
to play throughtt it automatically but you'll have to download them first
unless the server on the other end has streaming capability.

No you have to download the file first . Then you right click hoose open
with then under that is choose program. After that you wil come to a

I think there I a default action you can take with file. Mayb try right
clicking the file fter you download it and hit open with,choose the
pror5am
check the box that says to use this program always and click ok.

This isn't exactly on topic, but I have a question about listening to

skype tutorials. I used to be able to click on the links on the skype
tutorial page, and the tutorial would open with Windows Media Player.

when I try to click on the link, it asks me if I want to download or

the file. How do I change it back so it opens the tutorial in Windows

Player? I don't know how it got this way.
