To me, having an idea of how big a list, particularly Conversations is, matters. I admit I am therefore reluctant to remove the counts completely. I'm not sure I understand the rest of your message though. Are you saying we should ask Skype for a way to separate the lists? Maybe true, but I haven't thought that would be all that important really.
And the test scripts I posted today still do allow rapid navigation through lists, because of the delay before the counting happens. There is a little bug I'll have to fix though: In the test scripts I put out, if you park your PC cursor on a list item, the count may repeat at random from time to time while the cursor is sitting there.
