Followed your advice and copied only .jsb files from the archive. Works ok.

Ah, this tells me you are probably using the installer, which compiles
scripts while installing them. Normally this is a good thing, but
JAWS 11 made the word "descending" a language keyword, and I had a
function parameter of that name in the Skype 653a code. As a result,
the Skype scripts for Skype 3.8 will not compile on JAWS 11. The zip
file on my web site though, jfw-skr653a.zip, contains compiled jsb
versions of the scripts. I recommend you get and install those
manually in JAWS 11.
As for the "All compilations successful" messages, at least older
installers had trouble recognizing compile-time failures, so that
message may not necessarily mean all went as planned. The error
message you indicate tells me that compilation is failing on your JAWS
11 installation. I think things will work fine if you get the jsb
files from the zip though.

Those are indeed functions in the 653a Skype scripts, though the last
one is probably XLHashToJAWSList. I don't know why you'd be getting
unknown function calls though, unless you have some out of date jsl
files. In particular, the functions you mention are in xlist.jsl.
I recommend a fresh reinstall of the 653a scripts in that JAWS
version.
