Hi Gabry and list,
I'm not sure if SkypeWatch reveals this kind of notifications... If not,
with Skype 4.2, when I found something unread I usually started a chat with
this contact in order to get rid of this indication. Then I checked out the
last entry in the conversation, and usually, when I did not see anything
regarding to a chat message or a call, it was a birthday notification, and I
made sure by viewing the profile, just pressing application and going to
view Profile (it's letter s in italian, not sure with Skype in english). I
know this is a bit long procedure, but it should work in Skype 5 as well as
4.2.
