Hi!
You have every right to your personal preference, Chris, and you may have
found, perhaps from your own experience, that the JAWS scripts work better
with older versions of Skype. But I can tell you, from my own personal
experience, that the JAWS scripts have always worked excellently with Skype
versions 4 and 5.
Also, even if you prefer NVDA yourself, that doesn't make JAWS a bad
screenreader, as you seem to imply in the message below. OK, I'm a JAWS
user, but I would say the same even if you made the same implication about a
screenreader I have never used. Each to their own choice of screenreader, or
Skype version, or whatever, and personal dislike of other programs doesn't
make them universally rubbish: that's my opinion, and I'll stick to it.

No offence but I use NVDA with Skype 4.2. It works very well, better than
JAWS. For example there will be no delays experienced and NVDA tracks the
Skype windows very well. If you must use JAWS then I recommend the 3.x
versions of Skype.
