no because the program has to be removed and then updated. so if your just
updating you don't want it to remove all your settings. you just want it to
update the files it needs. so manual removing the configurations works
better.

A friend of mine configured a conflicting hot key in skype talking and
now cannot use it. The problem is that whenever she uninstalls it and
re-installs, the uninstall program does not delete the SkypeTalking.ini
file, so the offending key strokes remain. Where in windows 7 is the
apps files or the location of the offending SkypeTalking.ini so it can
be recreated or deleted or even written into by such as notepad, etc.
