gw skype will support video chat when the skype kit allows this support.
skype says this should be early next year. mean while the skype app is
still useable for those window-eyes users that wish to use the regular
skype. the skype app will no longer be updated because jeff feels as his
announcement states and makes clear in the skype app for window-eyes that
gw skype will replace skype and he believes that his app will no longer be
needed.

this is just a note to inform window-eyes users that the Skype app for
window-eyes is no longer being developed. the app provides information on
gw Skype and informs the user that the app is no longer being updated. so
unless someone else at some point takes over the work on Skype it self and
window-eyes gw Skype is going to be the main choice for window-eyes users.
I expect that more and more users of window-eyes will be using gw Skype.
considering the fact that Sarah has decided that all conversation on this
alternative Skype client is off topic for this list we may find soon that
there is not much point for window-eyes users to remain on this list. with
this in mind I am going to urge Sarah to reconsider this stand and perhaps
make an exception for gw Skype. perhaps the exception could cover clients
that interface directly with the screen reader or be designed for blind
people spasificly. this will avoid the problem of allowing every Skype
alternative on this list. be that as it may as I said earlier Skype is no
longer being worked on buy Jeff or gw micro.
