The only time that you wouldn't be tracked is when you are not using anything online. The person just wants to get people to stop using Skype for whatever reason he or she has, but obviously it is clearly stated even before Microsoft's acquisition of Skype, this is a normal practice. Take it to the next step, how about Facebook? They all do so it's up to the user to know what to say or what not to say online! It's like someone posting stupid pictures of themselves on Facebook and thinks it's only visible to his or her friends.
