Hi there. I'm getting the same problem. I want to keep 3.8. My desktop isn't
forcing itself to version 5, but this laptop did. System restoring to 3 am
in the morning brings it back, but is there a better way to block the
update? I have all the automatic updating off as well. I wonder where the
exe or installer file is that I need to delete so that when 3 am comes
around, it has no update to apply? I thought about figuring out where that
windows Software Distribution Service that creates the restore point is and
disabling it altogether, but what will that do besides disabling forced
updating of stuff I want left alone?

I have been using skype 3.8 and am suddenly having a problem with skype
