Hi Maya, Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I haven't been able to recor my skype conversations. The mp3 file under the app data program appears empty. Do I have to do something once the program is opened?

Here's what's happening though: When you make a call, the contact you're calling moves out of yoyur contact/conversation list and up above it into a separate list for active calls. Focus, however, does not follow this, so it lands on your next contact, and causes the speech you're hearing. So I would say, if it's a bug, the bug is that Skype does not keep focus on the contact you're calling.
