Jim: I take it by the modern ap for Windows 8 you mean the Skype AP that is included with Windows 8. I tried to download the desktop version of Skype from http:://www.skype.com but kept being directed to the Ap for Windows 8. Guess I will need to download the desktop version using my XP machine which still works.
