Hello Larry,
I found that there are other users who have this problem...
To fix it if it appears again, try launching Skype minimized...
Go to your desktop icon for Skype.
Now without opening it, press alt+enter, which lands you to the properties.
Press tab till you find "run" conbo box, and set it to "minimized".
Once you do that, Skype will work normally and you can use commands such
as alt+tab or insert+f10 to search main Skype window and focus it.
