I did the same thing about 2 weeks ago and had the same consequences. .
Just like you I also was using windows 7 and jaws 14.
Two things I can share that will help.
First: I'm a relatively new member to this forum but the people have been
really helpful.
Secondly: don't let anyone tell you the only fix is to up grade your
screen reader or your OS because there is no other way to get back to where
you were.
I'll let someone smarter than me give you the actual what to's and how to's
but just hang in there help is on it's way.
