Hey Lori,
first of all make sure you also updated JAWS scripts for Skype. The
latest one is 622A rev. 8892. Download it from www.dlee.org/skype, and
once the page opens press ctrl+shift+end, and you should find: "Revision
622A executable installer", press enter on it to download the file.
For separate chat Windows, press alt+v for the view menu, and if you see
"double window" view press enter on it.
For other configuration, I am afraid it's quite complicated to send it
via mail...
