Lori I'm guessing, as i'm running 6.22, and not 7.02, or whatever it is, that jaws key plus v still takes you into the adjust jaws dialogue box. If so, You should be able to turn typing sounder back on.
When you open the jaws dialogue box arrow down to typing sounder and press space bar. When you find the level you want, there are five of them, just escape out of that window. Before, Ii used to find the edot box, then type in my message, and when I hit enter, it's read out what i'd just typed, then i knew it'd sent. When a friend replied to me, I'd hear a clicking sound, which meant they were typing to me, and to read their replies, I'd shift tab back, and jaws would read out who'd sent the message along with the time, but now I don't get any of that.
