the source of the (preliminary version of the) jcr api will be removed
because of legal issues. the source of the final version of the api will
of course be public available. note that the source of the ri is not
affected by this, i.e. it remains in ./proposals/jcrri and will be
maintained as the api evolves and matures.

well, this is on the one hand certainly flattering, on the other hand
it scares me. the jcrri has never been released and represents
'work in progress', therefor you're using and distributing it at your
own risk. i obviously can't guarantee any backwards compatibility as
the api is still evolving and the persistence format, for example,
is an implementation detail which may be changing until the ri is
officially released.

as i mentioned: the final version of jsr 170 (tck, ri, spec)
will be released under a license written by roy (which certainly will
be apache compatible).
